Anchers Hus
The home of the famous Skagen artist couple, Michael and Anna Ancher, is preserved as it was in their lifetime with furniture from many different periods and numerous paintings and drawings (Scandinavian Art 1860-1930), gifts from fellow artists as well as their own works.
The Helga Ancher Foundation, created by their daughter Helga, is responsible for the museum opening in 1967.
As an annex to Michael and Anna Anchers’s House, the adjoining house, Saxild’s Gård, was opened in 1990 displaying changing exhibitions of works both by the Anchers as well as by artists during their lifetime.
